Windows 7 Beta First look, What 7 Looks Like
Easy install just like vista, A Burch of nice features and very stable for a beta. It was very snappy and fast all windows loading instantly. Network drives added with no problem and all drivers was found. Devices that didn't load and may not have beta drivers for are, the g15 keyboard, g5 mouse and a few others I am waiting for there beta drivers.
Moving thru the UI is very nice and fast. I like the new design of combining similar items on the task bar. Unfortunately no built in support for multi monitors.
I am running the 64bit version and so far everything I install is running great and I plan on running the 64bit on release so I can upgrade to more memory.
The networking center is easier with not as much clutter.
There is a Action center that lets you know what you need to do it maintains and information on the antivirus you have installed and makes sure its up to date.
The taskbar is the same orb but with icons in the pic are used in the grouping of similar windows so they don't clutter up your taskbar.
